Target getting ready to release

The film 'Target' starring with Mumaith Khan in the lead role, directed by Ramesh Raja is in final touches and getting ready for release.
Producer Dasaradha informed that the film will be released in the third week of October. He also informed that Mumaith Khan appears in a different role as a crime thriller story writer with a titled name Mandakini. It differs from her previous roles.
Executive director Ghanta Srinivasa Rao said that the image of Mumaith Khan will go up with this film. Another actress Sradha Das also doing in this film and Siva Balaji appearing as police cop in this.

Ileana in Parachuri Murali's Film

Paruchuri Murali even though produced two hit films earlier it became a tough job for him to introduce his third film after "Andhrudu" with a gap of three years.
Now he is coming up with his next movie and going to hit the floors soon with top actress Ileana and Nithin in the lead roles. Ileana agreed to do the film since the script is interesting. The film will be launched on Dussera.

Ramineni Foundation Award to Rama Prabha this year

The prestigious Ramineni Foundation award goes to Rama Prabha this year. This award is given to people who did excellent service in different fields or organizations. From the film field the popular comedy actress Rama Prabha was selected eligible for this award for this year.
Rama Prabha acted in more than 1300 films so far in different variety roles. She started her film career in 1966 with the film Chilaka Gorinka directed by a veteran director Pratyagatma. During the same year she also did a film with Sivaji Ganeshan in "Selvam" and entered in Tamil films. She acted in Tamil. Telugu, Kannada films as comedy artist and earned a good name and image as a multi lingual star. Rama Prabha got several awards to her credit such as Nandi award two times from the Govt, Film Fare award and Vamsi Berkeley Award. She will get 50,000 rupees of cash along with a memento under this award. Several of the film industry members expressed their happiness.
This award will be presented to her on October 12 in a function going to be held.

Navdeep's new film with Arun Prasad

After Gowtham SSC the young hero Navdeep is going to do a film under the direction of PArun Prasad. He directed earlier Thammudu with Pawan Kalyan as hero. The film is not yet titled and Kim Sharma of "Kadgam" fame is acting as heroine with this cat eyed hero Navdeep.
Arun Prasad presently also is doing a Silent movie with Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Brahmanandam in the lead roles.
At present the shooting is going on in Bangkok and two songs on the hero and heroine were made already.

Ticket Rates: High Court dismisses petition

Andhra Pradesh High Court today (September 30, 2008) dismissed the petition seeking hike on movie ticket rates. Recently, Andhra Pradesh government has slashed down the ticket rates. Theatre owner of Sensation Cinema, backed by some big Tollywood producers, filed petition in court asking to intervene in the issue and allow the producers to hike the rates in the first two weeks of a film release.
Few months ago, a group of producers met Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy asked to negate the option that allows the producers and theatre owners to hike ticket admission rates in the first two weeks. So the government passed new G.O accordingly. This put some other big producers like Bujji whose Chintakayala Ravi is hitting the screens in a big fix as it would dent in collections. Now court dismissing the petition, he has no option but release it on October 2nd

Ileana’s the brand ambassador for ITC

Top actress Ileana has signed her first corporate endorsement. She will be the face of the ITC in South India. The numero uno actress of Tollywood has agreed to be the brand ambassador for the corporate company. According to our sources, the sexy beauty is paid a bomb for this endorsement.
Earlier she modeled for Alukka’s Jewewellers brand but this is the first time that she is going to be the face for a corporate group and its products. She is also excited to be associated with ITC.

Sexy Hansika to do ‘item number’

Sexy Hansika who is quite popular and busy in Tollywood and Bollywood is all set to do an ‘item song’. Like Kareena Kapoor in Bollywood, this bulbous beauty is doing a hot number in Prabhas’s next film to be directed by Meher Ramesh (of Kantri fame). Hansika was the heroine in Meher’s earlier film and on his insistence, she would be doing this item number for the remix song of “Naa Paruvam..” from Late NTR’s Yugandher. The original song was done by Jayamalini

'Ghazini’ Surya as Son of Krishnan

Tamil actor Surya has a good following in Andhra Pradesh too after the stupendous success of Ghazini. Since then his Tamil films are regularly being dubbed into Telugu. His latest Tamil film, Vaaranam Aayiram, is also having its Telugu release and the Telugu version is titled Surya S/0 Krishnan. Directed by Gowtham Menon, the film stars Sameera Reddy, Simran and Ramya as the female lead while Surya plays dual roles.
Aaskar Ravichandran produces the movie which has music scored by Gowtham’s favorite Haaris Jayaraj. Dil Raju has bought the exhibition rights for Nizam area for a whopping amount.
It is scheduled for Deepavali release and the music is hit the markets on Vijayadasami

Cute Genelia lives in ‘suitcase’

One thing that pretty actress Genelia is missing in her life is being at home. The actress is virtually living in a ‘suitcase’ as she is constantly on move from one shoot to another. Just finishing the shoot for Krishnavamsi’s movie in Nagarjuna Sagar, she immediately left for Delhi to participate in the shoot for Life Partner, Hindi remake of Bommarillu. For the past few months, she has been in transit. Home is only stopover for me, she rues.
On the other hand, title for her film with Krishnavamsi would be made officially next week. The director is planning to hold press meet in Vijayawada city and announce it there. Sashirekha Parinayam and Hai Hai Ga are the two titles under consideration.
