She is none other than the mouth watering beauty Shriya and recently, the pretty girl shared her thoughts on two big names of the director's league. The first name in Shriya's list is that of the showman of the south Shankar with whom she came out with the blockbuster hit 'Sivaji' by pairing up with superstar Rajinikanth. Shriya says that Shankar is more like a dictator and he only instructs what he wants and perceives only in the best interest for the actress and the movie. On the other hand, the second person is the more enigmatic and single minded Kamal Haasan with whom Shriya will be seen lip locking in the forthcoming venture 'Marmayogi'. The demure damsel says that Kamal is a perfectionist to the core and does not compromise at anything till it is 100% perfect. One really wonders how many kisses he took from this highly seductive beauty to get it the perfect way.

Shriya troubling producer and director

During initial career of shriya,Producers and directors liked her for her liberal attitude towards dressing and her co-operation for dates. But now She is a big star and things turned around. Now Shriya surprised everyone by packing her luggage after 40 days of shoot, where the schedule plan is for 60 days in Mexico.

Shriya could not hear the requests of director and producer of the film Mallanna. Finally, the schedule also packed. Now, the director is behind Shriya to complete the patch up work. The reason for sudden change of heart of Shriya is not known. Is it due to her star status or is she really have an important work in india? Only shriya can answer this question.

Shriya Saran career rocking

Where the sexy Shriya Saran, who appeared opposite Rajnikanth in Sivaji — The Boss last year, is shooting for BT. Some street romeos, unaware that she is already hot property in Bollywood, try to harrow the actress with wolf whistles and comments like, “Sexy ho, Bollywood ki rani ban sakti ho!” Shriya, of course, chews men like them up for breakfast every morning. She replies, “Dum hai na mere main!”

No doubt, the success of Sivaji... and her newfound status as a hot and sensational property in the South has made Shriya confident today. “Sivaji was Rajni’s film, but being a great man, he let me shine in it. Working with him, I learned to set myself a benchmark. Though I often ask myself — where now from here,” the actress admits. Where now, is for Bollywood to tell the talented Southern star.

Riding on Sivaji’s success, she’s bagged several projects, including some from Hollywood. In Bollywood, besides her debut film Awarapan, Shriya’s in Sangeeth Sivan’s Ek. “Films were incidental. I call it an arranged marriage. I fell in love with films after I got into the business. I was grooming to be a Kathak dancer when I landed in a music video. That’s how it began,” she says. On the Hollywood front, Shriya has wrapped up Ashok Amritraj’s The Other End of the Line opposite Canadian actor Jesse Metcalfe. And how has Deepa Mehta’s What’s Cooking to look forward to.

Now that she is in Bollywood, Shriya’s big ambition is to star opposite Amitabh Bachchan. She revealed, “I met him as a fan when I was about 11 and took his autograph. He was shooting in Udaipur for Khuda Gawah. Recently, I met him at an award function in Bangkok and told him that. He was amused. I told Mr Bachchan, ‘I want to work with you.’ And he replied, ‘I’m looking forward to it!’” But she doesn’t really have any favourites in Bollywood. “I am greedy. I want to work with everyone,” Shriya admits candidly.

Recently Shriya openly disclosed that she has become vexed with love scenes and kiss scenes. She disclosed this news to the media recently and also said that she is getting bored of doing the same love scenes again and again. May be Shriya is getting bored of love scenes on reel and wants the same raunchy and kinky scenes in her real life. She says that she is single and she is happy being single. “ It’s awesome to be single. You can party; you can flirt and have so much fun,” laughs Shriya. Well, what kind of guy will you fall for? “I like guys who have made on their own and are completely passionate about what they do in life. If anyone tells me about the huge business empire that you have inherited from your dad that’s a turn-off,” said Shriya.

Kajol replacing sexy shriya?

The sizzling beauty Shriya is one girl who started her career in the south and ruled the roost here for quite some time before going home in the north and making her presence felt. Today, she is one of the most sought after actresses not just in Bollywood but also in Hollywood and sky seems to be the limit for this seductive beauty when it comes to her career.
Shriya's upward graph has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for yet another north beauty who came in with a flop but slowly and surely she found her way into the hearts of the southern audience. She is none other than Kajal Agarwal.
Since Shriya has been busy with her projects in the north and internationally, her absence is being filled by Kajal and sources say that what used to be Shriya's position about four years ago, it is now the position of Kajal and the enticing beauty has been cashing in on her stand with equal smartness and sweet looks.

Dasavatharam review

Starring: Kamal Haasan, Asin, Mallika Sherawat, Jayapradha, Nagesh, Nepolean, Santhana Bharathi, P Vasu, R Sundarrajan, Erode SounderDirection: K S RavikumarMusic: Himesh ReshammiyaProduction: V RavichandranIt has been a long wait for Kamal’s fans after Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu and the legend has not disappointed them. He has established emphatically that the wait is certainly a worthwhile one and has proved time and again that cinema is his lifeline. The seventy crore magnum opus challenges Hollywood films and has even set up a benchmark for their films. Special kudos to producer Aascar Ravichandran for ably supporting the actor and the director in their pursuit of rendering a world class Tamil cinema - especially in the technical department. The grandiose scenes spellbinds the viewer and the crew has worked hard to sustain this feeling through out the film. The film opens with the camera zooming on Chennai from the ocean and gently stops at Chozha era when Saivites and Vaishnavites locked horns with each other.Performances:Kamal’s performance, Ravi Varman’s cinematography, Devi Sri Prasad’s re-recording and Thanikachalan’s editing teleport the viewer to a different era which would take a long time for them to unravel, particularly the scene where the Saivite King orders the statue of Lord Ranganatha to be thrown into the sea and threatens the ardent Vaishnavite Kamal to utter Om Namashivaya just once. And when Kamal begins OM, the suspense is killing not only for the king but also the audience. Though the film begins with Chozha period, it subsequently moves to modern times, bringing with it adventure, high flying chases. etcKamal’s hard work and perseverance is palpable in every frameand in the different getups that he has essayed. An angry Vaishnava young man from Chozha period, US President George Bush, mentally unstable old woman, a Japanese Karate master, Punjabi ghazal singer, a dalit man fighting for justice, an American terrorist out to kill people, an eight feet innocent Muslim, an astute scientist, a Telugu secret service man speaking Tamil in a weird fashion- a variety indeed!.Dasavatharam

Out of the ten Kamals, the dalit Boovaraghan stands out with his distinct style in dialogue delivery, eye movements and body language. Grandma Kamal is a reminder of Avvai Shanmugi while the secret service agent tries to tickle the funny bone in us, while in all the other Kamals, makeup alone can be talked about.Asin as an Agraharam girl is a revelation and is almost on par with Kamal in performance. Mallika Sherawat has understood why she has been hired and accordingly does her part.In the music department, the Tamil flavor is retained only in the Mukunda number while in the others, Himesh Reshammiah’s difficulty in unwrapping himself from Hindi clutches is discernible. K S Ravikumar’s directorial acumen is revealed in Ulaganayagane number where he has picturized Kamal’s make-up secrets.Final Note:Dasavatharam’s main forte is technical expertise, which the technicians have utilized without the viewer being aware of it. Top of the line technical excellence is perceptible in Tsunami scenes, car chasing shots, Chozha period sequences and the scene where all the Kamals come together. On the flipside, if the focus given to technical brilliance had been given to a stronger storyline and character portrayal, the film would have earned a perfect TEN.All in all a colossal visual opulence at its peak for the first time in Indian cinema.

Tabu doing mom character to shriya !

Its the most important question that Sarath Kumar and director K.S Ravikumar are asking now. Sarath Kumar plays dual role in the movie, that of a elder and younger character. Shriya Saran has already been signed for the role of daughter of the elder Sarath Kumar. Now the crew of Jaggu Bhai is in search of mom for Shriya.
But all the young heroines who were approached refused the role. Sneha had initially agreed, but backed out later. Simran, Padmapriya and Vimala Raman were also considered, but nothing worked out. Now the buzz doing the round is that Tabu has agreed to play Shriya’s mom but for a whopping 75 Lakhs. If this news is confirmed, this will be the first time a mom character has been paid such a huge amount.

Dasavatharam 134 screens alone in chennai

Dasavatharam is making high waves, the most awaited flick of the year will once again create a record on June 13 for releasing in more than 134 screens in Chennai and the surrounding suburbs alone.
According to trade pundits, this is the first of its kind in the Tamil film industry. Producer Oscar Ravichandran having returned from Tirupati after performing a special Pooja for the film’s reel at Lord Balaji’s shrine stated that flick is scheduled for 87 shows in Chennai alone.
For the suburban movie complexes Mayajaal and Prarthana, the movie will have 2 shows respectively. Even Rajinikanth’s Sivaji was released only in 30 screens, revealed the spokesperson for Mayajaal.

Wearing bikini is new trend for actress

The latest trend in Tollywood and Kollywood for heroines is to have at least one bikini scene in all their films. It was Nayantara who ushered in the craze for bikinis with her hot bikini scene in a Tamil film.Nayanatra's popularity zoomed instantly and she went on to bag half a dozen films after that. Now many producers and directors are insisting on heroines to wear a bikini for at least one scene in their films.Soha Ali appeared in a bikini recently. And that is for cover page of a magazine. The normally conservative Shreya Saran too appeared in a hot bikini on the cover of Maxim recently. Shreya is now an international star. She is acting in a Hollywood film too. Bhavana on the other hand is also trying to slim down and wear bikini in one of upcoming Tamil film.

Dashavatharam to be screened for George Bush.

With the court clearing the Public Litigation cases against Dasavatharam, the crew is gearing up for a second-week June release. However, another mammoth task in front of the producers is to screen the movie to the US president George Bush. As per latest reports, talks are on with the help of the producers’ US counterparts with Whitehouse officials to arrange for the screening. It is learnt that since Bush, as the US president, is heading the efforts to make the world’s nations sign the Nuclear Non-proliferation treaty, it would only be apt to screen him the movie that urges that nuclear energy should only be used for constructive purposes and not to cause destruction.

Rains make her happy

Delhi girl Shriya Saran loves the rain. When we told her that it had been raining in Delhi and the weather was quite pleasant, she fondly reminisced about her Delhi days. “I love the rains. Rain makes me happy,” she said. “I’m in Mumbai, though, working and chilling out. I’m also catching up on reading – currently, I’m reading Catch 22,” she said.

I’m closest to Reema and Shriya says Trisha

Her innocent smile, natural charm and trendy style has worked magic with the audiences for the last seven years. "My life’s just beginning.
When I started out, I said that for the first few years I’d have fun here. But now, I’m seriously considering acting as a profession. I aim to be successful, famous and a good actor and I’m pretty charged about it," she says.
Trisha means success in Russian; she is probably the only heroine after Sridevi to be successful in Tamil and Telugu. She has withstood pressures, controversies, competition and emerged on top due to her hard work and commitment. This year’s two big summer releases in Tamil (Kuruvi) and Telugu (Bujjigadu - Made in Chennai) featured her in the female lead. In the ad world, she is the hottest model and is brand ambassador for half a dozen consumer items.
Trisha, or Trash as she is affectionately known among her friends, is a big-budget survivor in an industry where top heroines burn out in two years. She came into films after being crowned Miss Chennai and made her debut as heroine in Lesa Lesa. This was followed by a string of superhits like Saamy, Ghillli, Tirupachi and Unakkum Enakkum. She tasted bigger success in Telugu with blockbusters like Nuvvostante Nenoddantana, Varsham, Athudu, Aadavari Matalaku Andhalu Verule, Krishna and other films. Till date, the lass has acted in 28 films- 18 in Tamil and 10 in Telugu.
Her winsome smile, sharp features and an hour-glass figure are her strengths that have taken her to the masses. Trisha is probably the only Tamil girl who has made it big in the last 10 years in an industry full of North Indian and Malayalee girls. Quiz her about her success and survival instincts, the actress shoots back- "It’s a lot of hard work and a bit of luck; one has to be at the right place at the right time." Her hit ratio in Telugu seems far better (75 percent) than in Tamil (50 percent). "I cannot understand why my Telugu films do better than my Tamil ones. It may be because the roles I do in Telugu gave me a lot more scope to perform and they never wasted me. I think Tamil cinema is too hero-centric," says the actress who has won two Filmfare and two State awards for her roles in Telugu films.
She is one actress who loves to experiment with her looks and goes for styling at regular intervals. When she experiments, it generates a lot of attention. When she had a Nemo fish tattoo done just below her left shoulder, it was news. And now, it is the Swarovski crystal on her teeth that is making news.Trisha says that she has no regrets about doing some films which turned out to be bad at the end. "I don’t regret any movie that I have done. I sign a film more on my gut feeling and sometimes at the end of it, they may not work," she adds.
Trisha is currently working on director Gautham Menon’s Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam with a bunch of newcomers. She enthuses: "To me, the main attraction of the film was working with Gautham". She informs us that her role in the film is something that she has never attempted before. She is also working on a film titled Sarwam directed by Vishnuvardhan of Billa fame and a film with Radhamohan (titled Abhiyum Nanum) of Mozhi fame.
Controversies have chased this actress at regular intervals. If it was the MMS clips a few years ago, it was her road rage on the ECR and frequent partying that were talked about. But of late, the actress has been keeping an extremely low profile and keeping away from the press. "Controversies are part of stardom but the press tries to blow it out of proportion. At the end of the day, it is my work in films that should speak," she says. About partying, she asks, "What’s wrong in partying? I am a young and independent girl and have never denied that I have a lot of friends with whom I am comfortable. After a hard day’s shoot, I need to unwind and be relaxed. I don’t see anything wrong in it and it’s my private life".
Quiz her about competition and she frowns: "It’s a rat race out here. A new girl comes to the industry every other day. The moment you trip, there’s someone ready to take your place and there’s no room for error". About her recent fall out with Nayanthara, the actress says that she has no issues with anyone. "She has never been my close buddy though we hung around together. I’m closest to Reema and Shriya as we bond well. But, we don’t discuss work. After all, it takes two to tango!"

Shriya is hot and getting hotter!

With an appearance in Mission Istanbul, Shriya Saran is finally being recognized in Bollywood for her flexibility and hard work over the last few years. Her career is now expected to move into the Red Hot Zone. She started her career with a bang in Santosham in 2002, opposite Nagarjuna. She received her first award in 2005 when she won the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for Chatrapathi. She also won the Best Hindi Female Debut Award for her role as Aaliya in Awaarapan in 2007. However, she really hit the big time with last year's groundbreaking movie Sivaji. Her star status was confirmed when the Hindu Makkal Katchi morality squad reported her to the police for wearing a clinging outfit at the celebrations for the movie. But Shriya is very flexible and also works well in the English language - she's currently in two movies: What's Cooking and The Other End of the Line, which costars Jesse Metcalfe with whom, rumour has it, she is romantically linked. How does Shriya feel about acting? "I love to do challenging and performance-oriented films if the offers come my way. I was lucky enough to get such roles quite early. I have proved that I can carry off well both in glamorous and performance-oriented films."Audiences worldwide can expect to see Shriya featuring in Hindi, Telegu and English films coming their way this year.

How Shriya growed from tollywood to hollywood?

Many of us fail to recognize the steady growth of actress Shriya's career. Her career path has risen phenomenally and her acting in a Rajinikanth movie can be termed as the pinnacle of her career. The svelte actress has come a long way in Tollywood since her debut, starring opposite Nagarjuna in Santosham, which was a smash hit. She has done leading roles in many big budget films and has been a prolific and much-sought-after heroine in Telugu after that. She also made sporadic appearances in Hindi. She became a national figure after she acted with Rajinikanth in Sivaji. Now, she has become so busy that she rarely finds time to rest. She has now bagged offers to work in Hindi films such as Ek and Mission Istanbul. In Tamil, she is acting with Vikram in Kanthaswamy. In Telugu, it is being made as Mallanna at the same time. She is also working in two English movies, What is cooking? and The other end of the line (produced by Ashok Amritraj). Many actresses feared losing prime roles when they were approached for a guest role alongside Vadivelu in Indralogathil Na Azhagappan . But Shriya accepted it immediately. This not only shows her self-confidence but also her admiration for comedy actors. It is commendable for a heroine to gain this quantum of fame in such a short time. Galatta.com wishes her many more top roles opposite top heroes in many more films!
