Shrikanth who is right now shooting in Banglore spoke to the media and clarified on the rumours about his relation with Chiranjeevi. He said that he never had any differences with Chiranjeevi. He also said that he was always like an younger brother to Chiru and will also be in the same way in future too. Srikanth also added that he didnt know much about politics and also dont like politics.Earlier, there were rumours in some section of the media stating that hero Srikanth and Megastar turned Prajarajyam Party Chief Chiranjeevi had some opinion differences. The media also stated that there was a conflict between the two heroes.

Meghastar offers blood for Mumbai victims

Superstar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi Thursday offered to provide blood from his blood bank for the injured in Mumbai terrorist attacks. He wrote to the Maharashtra chief minister and chief secretary offering blood from Chiranjeevi Blood Bank here.
'We are ready to make required quantity of blood available for the treatment of the injured,' the actor told reporters. Chiranjeevi also appealed to his fans to donate blood and help those being treated.
The founder and president of the Praja Rajyam Party condemned the terrorist attacks and expressed condolences for those killed. Chiranjeevi said the failure by the central intelligence agencies led to the attack. 'The attacks show that terrorists can strike wherever they want. The common man is feeling insecure,' he said.

Rayalaseema people to see Chiru from Nov 12

Chiranjeevi’s next campaign after Telangana would be in Rayalaseema. He will start his campaign in Anantapur district on November 12 followed by Kadapa, Chittoor and Kurnool districts. However, Chiru is successfully completing his Telangana yatra today.

Chiranjeevi Unknowingly Imitated NTR

When it comes to film personalities who made their foray into politics, their style and mannerisms don't seem to change much and something similar was noticed during the recent 'Praja Ankita' yatra that was organized by megastar Chiranjeevi but concluded abruptly. Apparently, Chiru's vocal chords gave way and as per the doctor's advise he decided to call it a day to his yatra. Now, here is an interesting bit. When Chiru was on the verge of his voice breakdown, he immediately toned down his voice and put extra bass in it to sound deep which caused a major roar for his followers. Those who were present were heard saying that it looked like Chiru was imitating the legendary NTR in his voice given the fact that NTR had a lot of bass in his voice and had a typically distinct style of dialogue delivery. The folks in the Vizag district were quick to notice the similarity in 'Annayya's voice too. As Chiranjeevi is from Godavari districts, he has a habit of talking faster with rolling words sometimes. But NTR was from Krishna district who used to speak in reasonable pace. As Chiru lost his voice and spoke slower, the diction came closer to that of NTR!!!!!

Chiru's Praja Ankita Yatra enters Vizag from October 14

The Praja Ankita Yatra of actor turned politician Chiranjeevi starts in Visakhapatnam district from 14 to 17 October. During this period he covers agency and rural assembly areas.
He will commence his Yatra in Visakhapatnam from Tagarapuvalasa at a distance of 25 KM from Visakhapatnam. He will be visiting Araku, Paderu and Devarapalli by helicopter on the last day of his tour before leaving to Hyderabad.
On October 16 he will inaugurate PRP party office at Anakapalli and exchange views with party workers, Fans, workers, supporters and others from 8.30 AM to 10.30 AM.
In a press conference held on Monday Mr. Ghanta Srinivasa Rao former MLA of Chodavaram announced that Praja Ankita Yatra got an immense response particularly from women and youth in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram Districts and expected to get equally a good response in Visakhapatnam also.
In the second phase of his tour he would be covering city assembly constituencies however for the sake of his convenience he included Gajuwaka and Pendurthy areas in the first phase itself. Some leaders are expected to join Prajarajyam party during the Yatra and more may also join after completing Visakhapatnam tour. Lalam Bhaskara Rao of Telugu Desam will be joining the party on October 16. Former MLA SA. Rehman said that enrolling of membership into Prajarajyam is going on will be resumed from October 17. He announced that the tour programme is prepared only after discussing with the fan associations and others.

Stage set for Grand launch of Chiranjeevi Party

Telugu star Chiranjeevi is set to announce the name and policies of his new political party in this temple town in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday at a rally expected to be attended by a million people.

The actor, who announced his entry into politics August 17, will declare the agenda of his 'pro-poor' party, which may alter the political equations in the southern state ahead of the March 2009 assembly elections.

It will be a one-man show at Avilal Cheruvu or Avilala lake bed ground. Chiranjeevi alone will occupy the dais during the massive show of strength planned in true filmi style. Congress MP Hariram Jogaiah, who has joined Chianjeevi's party, said the actor would be the only speaker.

Jogaiah and also leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), who have joined the actor's party in the past one week, besides Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law and chief advisor Allu Arvind, brothers and actors Naga Babu and Pawan Kalyan will sit among the audience.

The decks were cleared for the meet Aug 21 when the Supreme Court refused to stop the event on a petition by a local NGO, which argued that the event on lake bed would harm the environment.

As many as 23 special trains, hundreds of private and state-owned buses will ferry Chiranjeevi fans from different parts of the state. A majority of the people are expected from coastal Andhra, the actor's home region.

As many as 5,000 Telugu NRIs from different countries, mainly the US, are expected to attend the meet. A group of NRIs are already touring parts of the state to mobilise public support for the actor.

chiranjeevi, who turned 53 on Friday, choose August 26, the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa, to launch his political party.

At his first news conference, the actor said he was inspired by Mother Teresa and declared that he too was dedicating his life to serve the poor.

After a 30-year career in films, Chiru, as the actor is popularly known, donned a new role like matinee idol NT Rama Rao, who changed the course of Andhra politics by coming to power within nine months of launching TDP in 1982.

Chiru, one of the highest paid actors in India and whose fan following is compared to NTR's, is engaged in social services like running blood and eye camps. In another gesture, he enrolled a physically challenged youth as the first member of the party.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the meeting, which will begin after Chiranjeevi pays obeisance at the Lord Venkateshwara temple on Tirumala Hills. The three-hour meeting is set to begin at 4 pm.

Adding filmi touch to the mega event, the organisers have hired two helicopters. A chopper will shower flower petals on the venue, while another will record the event, beaming it across 70 huge LCD screens deployed around the area.

Over 3,000 policemen have been deployed at the venue besides an equal number of volunteers of the Chiru Rashtra Yuvatha (youth wing).

In his speech, Chiru is expected to explain the reasons for taking a plunge into politics, his mission and goals, and announce the policies and programmes of the party.

After the public meeting, Chiru will form core committee of the party and launch state-wide tour to mobilise public support for the party.

Naga babu going to Delhi for party registration

Nagababu, Chiru's brother who is looking after the Chiru Party activities will be going to New Delhi tomorrow, 18th August. He will meet the Central election commission with reference to the party registration.

There are two names in considerations for the party, after going thorugh the dozen names-

1. Swayam Krishi

2.Mega people's Party.

Still Chiru camp is keeping the party name secret. Nagbabu is likely to register one of these names with Election Commission.

Rajasekhar ready to compete against Chiranjeevi

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi's entry into politics is imminent and political parties are gearing up to field a suitable candidate against him.

Fans expect Chiranjeevi to announce the launch of his political party soon and his family members - actors Pawan Kalyan, Nagendra Babu and brother-in-law Allu Aravind - have been doing the groundwork to launch

the party in a grand-scale. Meanwhile, actors Dr. Rajasekar and wife Jeevitha have been roped in by the Congress party to balance the equation. Speaking to the media, Rajasekar said that if the party wanted him to contest against Chiranjeevi he would do that. Jeevitha insisted that they did not bargain for any party posts and would work hard to strengthen the Congress party.

Superstar Krishna meets YSR, politics or friendship

Amidst speculation that film star Mahesh Babu may be ‘prompted’ to talk politics either directly or indirectly, his father and veteran actor G S Krishna met Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office here on Sunday and expressed his willingness to campaign for the Congress in the next general election.
Though the meeting was described as a ‘courtesy call’ to convey belated birthday greetings to the Chief Minister, grapevine has it that ‘‘political issues,’’ including service activities being taken up by the All India Krishna Mahesh Yuva Sena, came up for discussion. The Chief Minister reportedly complimented Mahesh fans for their spirit of service.

The meeting assumes significance not only because of the rumours doing the rounds regarding Mahesh but also due to fact that ‘Super Star’ Krishna is a wellknown supporter of the Congress.

It’s but natural for the ruling Congress to want to have its share of ‘cine glamour’ given the imminent political entry of Mega Star Chiranjeevi and support lent to the TDP by the family members of the late NT Rama Rao, including N Harikrishna, Balakrishna and Junior NTR. While Harikrishna is already playing an active role in the TDP, the other two are expected to campaign for the party in the future.

And, fuelling the speculation further was none other than Krishna himself. Speaking to newsmen, he said they were planning to campaign for the Congress in the next general election. When asked about roping in Mahesh Babu, he merely said: ‘‘Mahesh is still young and in his 30s.’’ But Krishna was quick to clarify that Rajasekhara Reddy was his old friend and he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Eluru in 1989. ‘‘I used to meet him occasionally. There is nothing new in today’s meeting,’’ he added.

Yesteryears Telugu film hero, Krishna, with his Hollywood style in Telugu films attracted crowds in his younger days. Is he thinking of joining politics? Chiru’s fans protest Mareppa’s remark

Minister Mareppa’s remarks against Chiranjeevi came in sharp criticism. Megastar’s fans condemned the remarks made by Minister for Marketing. Yesterday, Mareepa, in usual style, accused Chiranjeevi of selling blood through Blood Bank and also said that Chiru has never done any thing for public.
Fans demanded an apology from Mareppa. In Eluru, Chiranjeevi fans staged today (June 21) a rasta rook and also burnt the effigy of Mareppa.
“He will bear the consequences if the remarks came on behalf of his party,” fans protested.

Minister attacks Chiru

The minister for Marketing, Mareppa came out with some serious allegations against Chiranjeevi. Mareppa said that all this talk of Chiranjeevi coming into politics for serving the poor was mere eyewash. The minister asked how much money Chiranjeevi has actually spent for the poor all these years.
Chiranjeevi made millions and millions all these years by acting in films and built up a big fortune. Now he is trying to project an image as a champion of the poor.
Mareppa also made some serious allegations about Chiranjeevi Blood Bank as well. He said that while they were collecting blood free of cost from donors, they were selling it for 1,200 hundred rupees.
Chiranjeevi fans are now itching to have a go at the minister but they can’t do anything. The recent attack on Rajashekar and Jeevitha is still fresh on people’s minds. If they do anything drastic, they will be branded as rowdies.
Chiranjeevi was a virtual monarch in the film industry and nobody dared to question him over anything all these years. But politics is something entirely different. He will now be questioned by all and sundry and he will have to answer many unsavory questions, including ones about his personal life.
