The girl, who should ideally be partying on cloud 9 after the success of her latest movies, was seen partying at a club here in Hyderabad with close friend Ishita Singh and her sister Rajita Singh.

Who Charmi considered her competition? She said, “Nobody is competition. Trisha and Nayathara are all friends. I only compete with myself. On her ranking in the Telugu film industry the actress said, “I don’t believe in this concept of being number one or two.” On the kind of roles she was looking for, she said, “I love doing commercial films. But I also want to do character and female-oriented roles. I think glamour is very necessary. Glamour is different from revealing skin. I know my limits,” she said. The actress disclosed that she was working on a yet to be titled project in which she was playing a negative character. “The movie is being directed by Prakash,” she said and added that she was also acting in Kausalya Supraja Rama. The actress created quite a buzz when she said she loved Ranbir Kapoor. “I loved his performance in Saawariya," she said. Would she consider marrying him if he proposed? “I will have to ask my mom and dad,” she replied.

The Rs 2 billion cartoon extravaganza Sultan the Warrior will also feature superstar Rajnikanth in live action, publicists said.

"The superstar's live action will appeal to all sections of the audience and not just children," sources said.

Meanwhile, Telugu actress Illeana said that producers approached her for being featured in the movie and she already gave a nod

The movie with animated Rajnikanth playing the main protagonist is being produced jointly by the actor's daughter Saundarya Rajnikanth owned Ocher Studios and Warner Brothers.

Baladur in final touches

Final touches are being given for the movie Baladur directed by Uday Shankar, presented by Dr D Ramanaidu and produced by D Suresh Babu under the banner of Suresh Productions with Ravi Teja and Anushka in the lead.

Addressing the media, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao says, "We verified several titles and finally zeroes in on Baladur as the title, with a tagline 'Veediki Badhyatalekkuva'. It is the story that runs between two families in a village. A youth, who is like a vagabond, turns very responsible following certain incidents. What he does to set the things right is the subject. Besides the family feuds, the film also had a beautiful love story as an undercurrent."

Director Uday Shankar says, "Earlier, I worked for this banner and gave a hit like Kalisundam... Raa. This time, the title would suit at its best to Ravi Teja's body language and at the same time, it had several elements that can attract the family audiences. Superstar Krishna is playing the role of the paternal uncle of Ravi Teja, which is also a key role. Anushka is playing the role of a medico, who reaches city from a nearby village exclusively for studies."

Producer says, "The film is a romantic entertainer. There are six songs and six fights. We shot one film in Uzbekistan, the first ever Telugu film that was in that country. We are making efforts to launch the audio next week and release the film on August 15."

Story: Ram and Harikrishna (Kalyan Ram) are brothers who get seperated in childhood because of Ram’s mental attitude. Hari Krishna grows up to be an IPS officer and Ram grows up to be a serial killer who kills intelligent people. Anjali (Priyamani) is a CBI officer who arrests Hari Krishna for serial killings. To know who does all the murders and the reason behind the murders, one must see Hare Ram movie.

Strengths:

My analysis: Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has atlast did a decent movie after a very long time, his last good movie being Atanokkade. It seems that Kalyan Ram is being very careful in story selection, action, body language etc only when he is producing the movie. Over all Hare Ram movie is a good action flick with good amount of twists. Good story, apt direction, crisp editing and good music adds to the success of the movie.

Only problem in the story is that it has the shades of tamil flick Manmadhan in which Simbu goes on a killing spree.

Similarities between Hare Ram and Manmadhan:

1. Hero plays dual roles.

2. The younger one is mentally retarted.

3. The younger one kills people in both the movies (It is shown in that way in the first half).

4. In the second half, it is revealed that the eleder one kills everybody in both the flicks.

5. The mentally retarded hero dies in both the movies.

6. The eleder one comes out of the hands of Police using the name of mentally retarded hero in both the movies.

7. Sindhu Tolani is the heroine for the mentally disabled guy in both the movies.

8. Heroine has a killer phobia in both the movies.

9. Both movies has revenge as the back drop.

But the best part of the movie is that both Kalyan Ram and director Harsha Vardhan could make a good story and movie even though it had the shades of Manmadhan film. Its a decent movie with good technical values.

Performances: Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has done the roles of a sincere Police officer and a serial killer. He showed good differece between the two roles. His body language and his mannerisms were good and different for both the roles. He showed his acting talent for the first time in his entire filmy career.

Priyamani as the modern girl who runs behind the hero is good, but her role as a CBI officer didn’t suit her. She looks good in the modern outfits. Sindhu Tolani is the second heroine who looks decent in her brief role. She does the role of a TV reporter.

Kota Srinivas Rao and Rajeev Kanakala as usual suited for the villan’s roles.

Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Ali and Venu Madhav created the necessary comedy for Hare Ram.

Chandra Mohan, Sita, Chalapathi Rao and Sudha lived up in the roles of hero’s parents.

Music by Mickey J Meyer is very good, mainly the background score. Background score is really good when the serial killer comes into the scene. The music for the songs and their picturization is also good.

Story by Ram Prasad is good. He has mixed action with health mafia. The only problem in the story is that, it has the shades of tamil movie Manmadhan who had Silambarasan playing the lead roles.

Direction by Harsha Vardhan is excellent. He has given the required twists at the requried moment. He maintained the tempo of the movie till the last without losing the grip on the story. Only the climax episode is little big and prolonged.

Final Judgement: Above Average

After looking impressive in promos of Hindi film Mission Istanbul, petite Shweta Bharadwaj will be making her debut in Telugu with Indumathi.

After watching her dare devil stunts in her debut Hindi flick, she has been labelled as desi Lara Croft . In her maiden Telugu film she needs to, however, exhibit her histrionics skills rather than her fiery side. Director Harsha Reddy says that he’s created a special role for the Delhi girl and also convinced hero Sivaji to don a negative role in this female-centric film for which shooting is going to begin right away.

However, she dismisses the comparison with Lara Croft but reveals that she’s a big fan of Croft and Angelina Jolie.

After a dud like Vaana, MEERA CHOPRA is pinning her hopes on her forthcoming film with director CHANDRA SIDHARTH of Aa Naluguru fame. She is teaming up with young actor SHARWANAND, who shot to fame with Gamyam. The young pair could work up a good chemistry on-screen to revive the career of promising director. The romantic entertainer will commence its shoot from August, according to sources. Meanwhile, the pretty lass will be testing her luck in Tamil filmdom with a Tamil film as well. She needs just one hit to turn things in her favour in Telugu. We wish her good luck.

Rajasekhar ready to compete against Chiranjeevi

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi's entry into politics is imminent and political parties are gearing up to field a suitable candidate against him.

Fans expect Chiranjeevi to announce the launch of his political party soon and his family members - actors Pawan Kalyan, Nagendra Babu and brother-in-law Allu Aravind - have been doing the groundwork to launch

the party in a grand-scale. Meanwhile, actors Dr. Rajasekar and wife Jeevitha have been roped in by the Congress party to balance the equation. Speaking to the media, Rajasekar said that if the party wanted him to contest against Chiranjeevi he would do that. Jeevitha insisted that they did not bargain for any party posts and would work hard to strengthen the Congress party.

Superstar Krishna meets YSR, politics or friendship

Amidst speculation that film star Mahesh Babu may be ‘prompted’ to talk politics either directly or indirectly, his father and veteran actor G S Krishna met Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at his camp office here on Sunday and expressed his willingness to campaign for the Congress in the next general election.
Though the meeting was described as a ‘courtesy call’ to convey belated birthday greetings to the Chief Minister, grapevine has it that ‘‘political issues,’’ including service activities being taken up by the All India Krishna Mahesh Yuva Sena, came up for discussion. The Chief Minister reportedly complimented Mahesh fans for their spirit of service.

The meeting assumes significance not only because of the rumours doing the rounds regarding Mahesh but also due to fact that ‘Super Star’ Krishna is a wellknown supporter of the Congress.

It’s but natural for the ruling Congress to want to have its share of ‘cine glamour’ given the imminent political entry of Mega Star Chiranjeevi and support lent to the TDP by the family members of the late NT Rama Rao, including N Harikrishna, Balakrishna and Junior NTR. While Harikrishna is already playing an active role in the TDP, the other two are expected to campaign for the party in the future.

And, fuelling the speculation further was none other than Krishna himself. Speaking to newsmen, he said they were planning to campaign for the Congress in the next general election. When asked about roping in Mahesh Babu, he merely said: ‘‘Mahesh is still young and in his 30s.’’ But Krishna was quick to clarify that Rajasekhara Reddy was his old friend and he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Eluru in 1989. ‘‘I used to meet him occasionally. There is nothing new in today’s meeting,’’ he added.
