Three Movies For This Sankranthi

Once upon a time in telugu film industry, Balakrishna Narasimha Naidu, Venkatesh kalisumdham Raa and Mahesh Babu Okkadu released during Sankranthi festival season and became super duper hit movies which broke all the exisiting box-office records in Tollywood.
Slowly things have changed in Telugu cinema industry in which young and top heroes started doing only one movie per year which mostly is becoming a flop. So both producers and directors are taking a back step in making movies with big heroes.
Now here comes Sankranthi 2009 during which only three movies are being released. All these three movies doesnt have any big hero in them who could keep the box-office bells ringing. and Maska Arundathi Fitting Master movies which are releasing on January 14th for Sankranthi.
Maska has Ram, Hansika Motwani and Sheela in lead roles. This movie is being directed by B Gopal and is being produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Arts banner. Arundathi is an epic movie which is directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy. It has Anushka, Sonu Sood and Shyyaji Shinde in the lead roles. Directed and produced by EVV Satyanarayana, Fitting Master has Allari Naresh and Madalasa Sharma in the lead roles.Movies which were actually to be released for Sankranthi but were postponed till end of the month are Siddharth-Tammanna’s Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam , Nitin-Priyamani and Rajasekhar-Neetu Chandra Satyameva Jayathi

Is Tamanna’s decision right?

Tamanna who got introduced to the Telugu audience with Ravi Krishna’s ‘Kedi’, hit the bulls-eye with Sekhar Kammula’s block buster ‘Happy Days’. Her following film with Sushanth in Telugu was ‘Kalidasu’ but failed miserably. Her next film which is again a bilingual ‘Ninna Nedu Repu’ with Ravi Krishna has released recently.

On the other hand, although ‘Kedi’ was also a flop in Tamil, she passed with distinction in the hands of critics for her stupendous performance in negative shade. Her next film ‘Vyabari’ with SJ Surya also earned her good name followed by yet another superhit film ‘Kalloori’. Her next film in Tamil is ‘Ananda Thandavam’ under the prestigious banner Oscar Films is progressing briskly followed by ‘Padikathavan’ with Dhanush. This apart she has also signed a film produced by Moserbaer. The film is a remake of a Hindi block buster ‘Jab We Met.’ With so many projects in hand she is said to be one of the busiest actresses in Tamil.

By hook or by cook she is doing well in Tamil. Coming to Telugu films except for ‘Happy Days’, she has no other film to her credit. Currently she is doing ‘Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam’ with Siddarth and was offered to play the second lead in the latest Mahesh Babu – Trivikram’s film. But much to our surprise it’s learnt that she rejected the offer stating that the role is not as prominent as expected. Sources claim that she signed to play the heroine opposite Naresh in ‘Padmasree Edukondalu’.

However, Tamanna’s decision to reject the offer by Trivikram to star opposite a Superstar like Mahesh Babu has made many people in Tollywood raise their eyebrows. Now only time will say if Tamanna has taken the right decision!

Tamanna has no plans to sign new film

Every day, Tamanna, one of the most happening stars in south cinema, gets an offer to do a film. But she says the roles offered to her are not very exciting or challenging. Recently, she made news when she opted out of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's film after signing it. The reason why the star backed out was because her dates had gone haywire. Currently, she is doing Surya's Ayan and Anandathandavam, a film with a new hero in Tamil. Tamanna is also doing two films in Telugu. The actress, who shot to fame in Telugu after her spectacular performance in Happy Days, in which she plays a cheerful, bubbly college girl, has not gone unnoticed in Kollywood as well. The actress finds her hands full at the moment and she has no plans to sign up any new films.

Tamanna has no time for Allu Arjun

Post Happy Days, Tamanna is the busiest actress both in Tollywood and Kollywood. Tamanna who has just completed a long schedule of her Telugu film Konchem Ishtamga Konchem Kashtamga with Siddharth and Dhanush’s Padikkathavan in Hyderabad has gone to Mumbai for taking a break. It is said that she has been chosen to play opposite Allu Arjun in his upcoming film a sequel to Aarya.Tamanna denies the rumors. “How can I do more than four films at a time? In fact I had to politely refuse the Allu Arjun film in Telugu for which I had signed early this year as my dates could not be adjusted. Luckily for me, the producer understood my problems and we have agreed to work together sometime next year,” said Tamanna.
