'Adurs' celebrates Nayantara’s Bday


One of the leading actresses in Southern Film Industry, Nayantara has celebrated her birthday in a special way this year. ‘Adurs’ unit gave a surprise to her by celebrating her birthday on the sets in Annapurna Studios. The busy actress could not take leave as the film is in its final stage of shooting. Apart from ‘Adurs’, Nayantara signed two films, one each in Malayalam and Tamil.

The actress started her film career with a Malayalam film titled ‘Manassinakkare’ in 2003 and won Asianet award for Best Female Debut Face of the year. She got introduced to Tamil industry through Sarath Kumar starrer ‘Ayya’ in 2003 and then shot to fame with Rajinikanth’s sensational hit film ‘Chandramukhi’. And in 2005 she won the hearts of Andhra audience through Venkatesh starrer ‘Lakshmi’. She has so far did 30 films altogether in three languages.

'Amaravathi' comng in Dec first week


After enjoying the success with ‘Anasuya’ and ‘Nachchavule’, Allari Ravi Babu is coming up with yet another interesting film ‘Amaravathi’. This film is said to be hitting theaters in first week of December. Featuring Bhumika and Sneha in lead roles, this film also belongs to thriller genre. The director cum actor is looking forward for a hatrick with ‘Amaravathi’.

‘Amaravathi’ is being produced by V Anand Prasad under Bhavya Creations, who earlier produced a hit film ‘Souryam’ with Gopichand. The story of ‘Amaravathi’ goes in a suspense mode till end and the audience will keep guessing who ‘Amaravathi’ would be. There are no songs in the film and it has been made with high technical values at par with Hollywood flicks. Gadde Sindura, the runner-up of Femina Miss India 2005, is also playing a vital role. Apart from her Jeevi, Vishwanath Kasi, Parachuri Gopalakrishna, Raghava and Madhu are playing other character roles.


Keerthi Chawla's back again


Keerthi Chawla made her entry in Tollywood with a block buster film ‘Aadi’ co-starring NTR but quietly vanished leaving no trace behind. She gradually tried her luck in Tamil with a film or two and now back to Tollywood to test her luck in her second innings.
The actress is said to be playing the second fiddle to Priyamani in ‘Sadhyam’ with Jagapathi Babu.

This is the third film for Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani to be directed by a debutant. Kumar Brothers production house is producing the flick. We have learnt that Keerthi is playing a key role and the lady with her fresh looks is confident that she would touch everyone’s heart with her glamorous role.

Kick Fame Shyam as young YSR


We are aware that actor Rajasekhar announced that he would make a film on Late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy under Puri Jagannath’s direction. Rajasekhar is going to essay the role of Late Chief Minister YSR, while the cast and crew for this film are yet to be finalized. According to Film Nagar sources Tamil hero Shyam has been selected to play the role of young YSR. Shyam made his entry in Tollywood through a police officer role in the recent super hit ‘Kick’ and this is his second film. This would be yet another best opportunity for Shyam to prove his mettle in Telugu. The film might go on sets some time in early 2010. In the mean time Puri is gearing up to begin his next venture ‘Golimaar’ with Gopichand.

Naga Chaitanya says Naato Raa....



Naga Chaitanya’s latest flick under Gowtham Menon’s direction is a romantic entertainer. This movie slated for Sankranthi release is being made by Manjula (Mahesh Babu’s sister) under Indira Creations banner. Samantha is pairing with Chaitanya and the title is considered as “Naato…Raa!”

Gowtham is simultaneously directing this flick in Telugu and Tamil. Simbhu and Trisha are playing the lead roles in Tamil titled as ‘Vinnayithandi Varuvaya’. AR Rehman is scoring music for both versions.

'Bumper Offer' celebrates Triple Platinum Disc Audio Function..


The triple platinum disc audio function of ‘Bumper Offer’ starring Sairam Shankar and Bindu Madhavi was held amidst a large crowd at Sudharshan 70 MM theater at RTC Cross Roads, Secunderabad on Sunday, the 15th of November.

Puri Jagannath produced ‘Bumper Offer’ under Vaishno Academy introducing Jaya Ravindra as director and Raghu Kunche as music director. The film’s music album was the first to release under Puri Sangeeth’s Audio Company and became super duper hit, especially the audio CDs and cassettes are being sold like hot cakes post release the film. Raghu Kunche’s remarkable ‘Ravanamma…’ song is rocking all over the State.

The Triple Platinum Disc function was attended by Puri Jagannath, Sairam Shankar, Bindu Madhavi, Raghu Kunche, Jaya Ravindra, executive producer Shankar Ganesh, camera man Sai Sriram, Bhaskara Bhatla, Production Designer Rajkumar Reddy, editor Varma, art director Chinna, Manager of Suresh film distributors Satyanarayana, proprietor of Sudharshan 70 MM Lakshmana Rao, character artists, Jr Relangi, Vamsi, Ramesh, Rakesh and Chinna.

The mementos of ‘Bumper Offer’ Triple Platinum Disc were presented to the entire cast and crew on behalf of Puri Sangeeth Company. Singer Sinha anchored the programme which started off with mimicry by Jitender.

Later addressing the gathering Puri Jagannath said, “This is a happy moment to celebrate a triple platinum disc function with so many people around. Of late making a hit movie has become a tough task. There are hardly 4 to 5 hits among 100 releases and I am happy to note that ‘Bumper Offer’ joined the list of those 5 hits. I thank my friend Jaya Ravindra for delivering a hit film under my banner. This movie also gave a good break for my brother Sairam Shankar and heroine Bindu Madhavi."

Raghu Kunche while speaking, “I am very happy to make my debut as music director through ‘Bumper Offer’. ‘Ravanamma…’ fetched a grand opening to the film. I am very happy to note that the film has also become a big hit along with audio. I thank Puri Jagannath for providing me this opportunity.”

“I thank Raghu Kunche for scoring good music and Bhaskara Bhatla for writing wonder lyrics which helped the film to become a big hit”, said Sairam Shankar.

Bhaskara Bhatla said, “I wrote many songs for Puri’s films and will also write in future. It was a pleasant surprise to hear that the audio was a hit as soon as it was released in markets. I sincerely thank the audience for making this film a big hit.”

Bindu Madhavi too thanked the audience as well as Puri and Jaya Ravindra for giving her yet another hit film in her budding career.
