The girl with chubby cheeks, Hansika Motwani, made her debut into the Telugu film industry through ‘Desamuduru’ opposite Allu Arjun. After taking considerable gap, she played the female lead in ‘Kantri’ with NTR as hero. Now, according to sources in Film Nagar, she got a lifetime opportunity to play heroine to Power Star Pawan Kalyan in ‘Puli’. It is worth mentioning here that ‘Puli’ directed by SJ Surya and produced by Singanamala Ramesh on the banner of Kanakaratna Creations, is likely to start rolling from June 20.
The director and producer tried to rope in Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor in the female lead. However, they expressed their inability saying that they were busy with their Bollywood films. Finally, the opportunity knocked the doors of Hansika. The film will have music from AR Rehman while camera will be held by Vinod.

Sexy Neetu chandra as police officer

Neetu Chandra is roped in to do a police officer role in Rajasekhar's much-hyped film Satyameva Jayate. The actress was last seen in Sekhar Kammula's Godavari, followed by Hindi flick Traffic Signal of Madhur Bandarkar and one two three.Infact she has done a police role in one two three. She also starred opposite Madhavan in a Tamil film. Jeevita directs the movie, which is a free adaptation of Bollywood's Khaki, with modifications done to suit Telugu nativity.

Actress took over 25 retakes to a shot

Vidya Balan had a tough time matching up with Shahid Kapoor while shooting a dance number for the promotional video of Kismet Konnection. It took more than 25 takes before one single dance step could be finalized. The sensuous number, choreographed by Ahmed Khan, required Vidya to pirouette in high heels, and she was clearly ill at ease. A source, who was present on the sets said, “Vidya took more than 25 takes to get her moves right.She had never done such a dance number before. To top it all, she had to wear high heels.” Choreographer Ahmed jumped to Vidya's defense and said, “Even though she had a difficult time keeping up with a super-swift Shahid, she did not request me to change the steps. Besides, this is the first time that she was shooting a racy, western number.”

Another hero with 12 getups in one film

Kamal Hasan portrayed 10 getups in Dasavatharam. Now another Tamil hero Vikram is going to portray 12 get ups for the film of Manirathnam.
Aishwarya Roy is paired up opposite Vikaram for this film. The film is made in Hindi with Abhishek and Aish by the same Manirathnam.
Vikram is Mexico for the shoot of his current film Mallanna. He will join Mani as soon as he finishes Mallanna.

Ram charan teja third film director confirmed

Ramcharan tej who is working for Rajamouli's flick right now has confirmed his next film with director Bommarillu Bhaskar. Chatrapathi Prasad will be the producer. Out of the ten Kamals, the dalit Boovaraghan stands out with his distinct style in dialogue delivery, eye movements and body language. Grandma Kamal is a reminder of Avvai Shanmugi while the secret service agent tries to tickle the funny bone in us, while in all the other Kamals, makeup alone can be talked about.Asin as an Agraharam girl is a revelation and is almost on par with Kamal in performance. Mallika Sherawat has understood why she has been hired and accordingly does her part.In the music department, the Tamil flavor is retained only in the Mukunda number while in the others, Himesh Reshammiah’s difficulty in unwrapping himself from Hindi clutches is discernible. Your looks: Genes or hard work?
Genes definitely have something to do with it. I come from a very wholesome, middle-class family. So I think my upbringing and healthy lifestyle has also helped.
What's your diet like?
Well, it's hard, but I usually just eat my normal home food, like roti, subzis and chicken, basic Punjabi food. I'm not a huge fan of all this dieting, but I do have one rule: Watch those carbs! When it comes to international food, I enjoy it, but usually only go for it when I'm out of the country. I absolutely must have my food, though!
Are you always in the gym?
To be honest, I'm not really a great fan of working out (laughs). But if I have a certain type of role, and need to be trim and fit, I'll definitely get motivated. Still, I usually need a trainer to be really tough on me, to get me to the gym. A personal trainer is a big help. At the end of the day, though, I'd rather curl up in bed to read or watch movies. I love books from the best-seller lists and I'm huge fan of films. Although recently I've been so busy that I hardly have time. I've been reading the same book for two months!
Socialite or homebody?
I have to attend a lot of these (social events). But I really love my home! I love being there and just relaxing.
Any cosmetic tips?
When I'm not going for filming or an event, I wear light make-up. Of course recently, for Love Story 2050, I had to dye my hair red two different times!
Did you like the look?
I was nervous at first, because I wasn't sure how people would react to it. But every one was saying how nice it looked, and I soon grew fond of it. It was very different! But, unfortunately, all the chemicals really fried my hair, from the dying. I had to cut off a few inches (motions to her hair)!
Can you go back to the red 'do?
I'm not sure. I'm really excited to see how people react once the movie launches!

Stars overhelming response for dasavatharam preview

The film Dasavatharam is releasing on 13th June, the film was premiered to some important persons on 12th June in Chennai. We can the first reactions of some of the personalities known to our Telugu industry-"Extraordinary!" was the word used by Rajnikanth to describe the film.
Ghajini Surya said: “Stunning. I’m not going to be able to sleep for a month, Dasavatharam will haunt my dreams. “Kamal’s Annachi character is his funniest performance ever.”

Director K.Balachandar didn’t speak – he ran to Kamal and tried lifting him up physically to show his applause. Kamal quickly stopped him and they hugged.

Top Heros and heroines at ATA this year

The American Telugu Association (ATA) organizes a get together once in two years and a host of prominent celebrities will be converging at the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey from the 3rd to the 5th of July to make it a memorable event.
The ATA recognizes and honors individuals of Telugu origin during the convention. Eminent personalities from different fields are expected to be honored this year as well.
Representatives from the Telugu film world and prominent personalities from other fields who are taking part this year include Jr. NTR, Allu Arjun, Charmee, Hansika Motwani, Roja, Devisri Prasad, Ghazal Srinivas, Vijaya Lakshmi, Siva Reddy, Gangadhar, Gollapudi Maruthu Rao, Suddala Ashok Teja and C.Narayana Reddy. Tough fight between directors for ramcharan teja 3rd film

Ramcharan is busy with his second film shoot in and around Hyderabad. SS Rajamouli is directing the film. The film‘s shoot is half the way.
On the other hand , the Tamil director who settled in Telugu are trying their level best to get third film of Ramcharan to direct.

Tabu is demanding too much money

Dasavatharam director Ravikumar’s next film will star Sarathkumar. This is a project the director will take up once Dasavatharam is well and truly behind him. Some say that the plot of the film is the same story that the director had prepared for a Rajini project called Juggubai, which was scrapped; while still others speculate that it is a remake of a Hindi movie.What we do know is that he will play double roles, with double heroines. Shriya, Sivaji’s heroine, will be one, and Sneha was to be the other. But Sheha is not in the picture anymore and the filmmakers have approached Tabu. But Tabu is asking 75 lakhs as her fee, and now there is no confirmation if the producers have agreed to this.

Anushka has no free time

It is Anushka who continued to remain a busy heroine in Telugu film industry these days. The yoga teacher turned actress is presently busy in the US with 'Chintakayala Ravi' opposite Venkatesh.
After that she would pair up with Gopichand for a film to be directed by cinematographer turned director J Siva and produced by V Ananda Prasad.
Besides this, she had also signed a film on the banner of Suresh Productions with Raviteja as hero. 'Baladur' is the title under consideration for that movie. A few scenes remained to be shot for the movie.
Besides all these regular glamour roles, Anushka is also trying herself to prove that she could also do performance-oriented roles and as part of it, she signed the dotted line for 'Arundhati'.

Sairam Shankar gets 6 pack abs

Sairam Shankar, Puri Jagannath’s brother, debuted as a hero with 143; now he’s got two more projects with his brother. Since the end of 2007, he has been seen getting in shape for his next project. He has been training under a coach who gave Allu Arjun his famed 6 pack abs.Sairam clarified, “My 6 pack abs took me around six months to achieve. And that’s how I achieved my lean look.” With his hair grown longer than in his previous film, he looks very fit, lean and hadsome, to suit the character of his current film, said to be a mass entertainment flick with a lot of action. Sairam also said, "Puri’s movie with Mahesh Babu will probably start after we’ve finished with mine. Though Puri might handle both movies simultaneously, I can’t confirm anything for now.”This movie is set to start regular shooting schedules by the end of this June. Vaade Kaavali, his forthcoming film, is in post-production stage, almost ready for release.

NBK gets NTR director?

Balakrishna’s recent release Pandurangadu is slowly picking up at the box office though it didn’t manage to draw crowds in the initial days of its release.

Balakrishna is currently spending his vacation in US and he will take up his next project once he returns home.
However, his next film is not yet confirmed officially. Earlier it was said that Gunasekhar might direct Balakrishna’s next but that didn’t materialize. Some others names too popped up but none of those projects were confirmed. Recent addition to the list is Mahadev, the brand new director who associated Rajamouli earlier.
While Yamadonga is under production news came out that NTR might do a film under Mahadev’s direction but that didn’t happen. Now the same director has prepared a subject for Balakrishna and it is believed that the latter liked the story and gave a positive nod. If everything goes well Mahadev is likely to direct Balaiah’s next.

Sameera Reddy, the Bollywood black beauty who was termed iron leg by Tollywood people with a streak of flops such as Narasimhudu, Jai Chiranjeeva, and Ashok is now a busy actress in Tamil film industry.It is well known that Sameera is linked with our young NTR while she was acting with him in Narasimhudu and Ashok films. However, NTR himself condemned those rumors and now she is no more ‘connected’ to him. But Sameera is not away from gossip zones as a fresh rumor is doing rounds stating that Sameera is showing interest in young cricketer Ishant Sharma. Interestingly, like NTR Ishant too has proved successful at a very young age.However, Ishant puzzled with these rumors said ‘I am very young to fall in love. I met Sameera at an IPL match and there is nothing more than that’. We have to wait for Sameera’s comment.

Nayanatara plays big role than superstar

In the upcoming film Kucheludu, Nayanatara is paired opposite Rajini kanth. Nayanatara is getting more footage than Rajini Kanth in the film. Many south Indian star heroes don't like giving lengthy role to heroine . But Rajini doesn't care for such thing and asks director to proceed if the script demands.Though the film is the remake of Malayalam film, Director P Vasu made some changes to fit the Telugu audiences. Now a solo song on Nayanatara is being filmed at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The Telugu version is produced by Chalasani Aswini Dutt.

AR Rahmen for Mahesh babu film

The Pokiri team Poori and Mahesh Babu have signed for a Global production house Warner Brothers for a trilingual film of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Rajini Kanth's daughter Soundarya is production partner for Warner Brothers.This is the first time a telugu hero signing a film for Global production and making trilingual film. AR Raheman will tune the music for this multi-crore budget film.

Dasavatharam 134 screens alone in chennai

Dasavatharam is making high waves, the most awaited flick of the year will once again create a record on June 13 for releasing in more than 134 screens in Chennai and the surrounding suburbs alone.
According to trade pundits, this is the first of its kind in the Tamil film industry. Producer Oscar Ravichandran having returned from Tirupati after performing a special Pooja for the film’s reel at Lord Balaji’s shrine stated that flick is scheduled for 87 shows in Chennai alone.
For the suburban movie complexes Mayajaal and Prarthana, the movie will have 2 shows respectively. Even Rajinikanth’s Sivaji was released only in 30 screens, revealed the spokesperson for Mayajaal.
