Kareena Kapoor with Pawan Kalyan !!!!

According to our reporter Bannu, Pawan Kalyan is all set to woo Kareena Kapoor in his next movie Puli. If the rumours of Tollywood circles are to be believed, director SJ Surya and producer Singanamala Ramesh are trying to rope in Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor in their film.
Kareena is now the number one heroine in Bollywood. Puli movie is also nothing less. It has all the big names of Indian film industry. The list goes as follows:
1. Puli has Powerstar Pawan Kalyan as hero
2. Music is by none other than AR Rehman.
3. Camera is by Bollywood cameraman Binod Pradhan.
4. Action sequences will be directed Hollywood stuntmen.
5. Direction is by SJ Surya who earlier gave telugu audience Kushi.
6. And now it is Bollywood beauty Kareena KApoor.
Lets hope all this big combinations work out and Pawan repeat his magic with Puli like what he did with Jalsa

Allu Arjun as Premikudu

The title for Allu Arjun next movie is not yet confirmed. Many titles are under consideration, first it was Romeo then it was Varadhi and now it is Premikudu. We have to wait for the exact title till the makers decide on one.
This movie is being directed Bhaskar of Bommarillu fame and is being produced by Raju of Dil fame. Sheela of Hello Premisthara fame is the heroine. The shooting of this movie is going on at a brisk phase and the movie will most likely be released in Feb 2008

Allu Arjun and Trisha for telugu Jab We Met

Stylish Star Allu Arjun and beautiful damsel Trisha will be joining hands to act in the remake of Bollywood super hit movie Jab We Met. This yet to be named movie is being made by Mouserbaer company.
Actually Uday Kiran was the first choice for this movie. But as he is bed ridden due to an accident, the makers are now roping in allu Arjun for the role. The shooting of this movie will start once Allu Arjun finishes shooting for Parugu movie.
Wewill have to wait and see if Andhra audience will like the telugu version of this super hit hindi movie.

Sheela Happy To Parugu Result

Sheela, the heroine in the film ‘Parugu’ appears to be a normal girl but she has great magnetism that is known only for the people who work with her or see her in reality. Sheela has great abilities in acting and also good capabilities in luring the men around her. People say that she never tries to pull people towards her but her natural grace and magnetism make men come for her. People say that Sheela’s net was dropped on Arjun as well.
She acted in the films like ‘Seetakoka chiluka’ (Ilavattam in Tamil) with Navedeep and also with Sai Ram Shankar in other flick. She tried her luck both in Tamil and Telugu but things are not positive. Despite flops and no big image in the public she could find place beside Allu Arjun. All this happened with her magnetic appeal. Now, the film has got dull talk in almost all the centers. So even ‘Parugu’ may not give her required success.
Sheela acted with less glamour show and more sensuous appeal in this film projecting her navel and tummy wearing half saris.

"parugu" review

This is the second film for director Bhaskar, who earlier delivered critically acclaimed and commercially superduper film Bommarillu. It is tough to say if Bhaskar did overcome the second film sentiment (this is prevelant in the industry that, usually, the second film of a director would not do well). The storyline is thin and the screenplay of the film seems stretched. The film revolves around a father looking for eloped daughter and it feels that there is too much of search. And finally, audience (especially Chiru fans) might correlate some (or alot) of the scenes with Chiru's second daughter Srija's episode. Chances are that the film might get along well for the lady and family audience. Going into the story, Parugu is about a father and his two daugthers. Neelakantam (Prakashraj) has two daugthers Subbalaxmi (Poonam Bajwa) and Meena (Sheela). Neelakantam is a highly respected person in his place. Neelakantam loves his daugthers more than anything on this earth. His first daughter elopes after her marriage is fixed with someone else. Neelakantam strongly believes that his daughter can never do it and it should be only the guy who might have mislead her. So the search is on for Subbalaxmi. In that context, Neelakantam brings all the friends of the eloped guy to his place. That is how the hero of the film Krishna (Allu Arjun) lands up at Neelakantam's place along with his friends (Srinivasa Reddy, Sunil, Chitram Srinu and two more). Little does Neelakantam know at that time that Krishna is the mastermind who planned the elopement. Krishna plans to run away but promptly falls in love with Meena and returns back. Meena, who knows the agony her father went through due to Subbalaxmi, is very strong on the stand that she would not fall in love. Did Neelakantam finally find Subbalaxmi? Was Krishna able to convince Neelakantam and Subbalaxmi on his love? That has to be seen on the screen. Allu Arjun is at ease in his role as Krishna. His dances are natural but did not have the energy that was seen in Desamuduru. He exceled in the emotional scenes towards the climax. Prakashraj, as the father of two daugthers, did his role good. Well! It is just yet another role for Prakashraj. There isnt anything special about it. Sheela is very impressive in the role of Meena. As an innocent girl in the first half and as a girl who is sandwiched between her father and her love in the second half, Sheela did the roles convincingly. Poonam Bajwa's role is short and she did it good. Jayasudha is unnatural in few scenes. She played the mother of Allu Arjun. Rest of the cast is content in their roles. The expectations are high on this film coming from the director of Bommarillu. In fact, the very points that paved the success way to Bommarillu lacked in this one. Bhaskar, who proved his screenplay expertise in Bommarillu, could not repeat his magic with screenplay here. Even though some of the scenes like Allu Arjun, Sheela scene after he saves her from the rowdies and Prakashraj's drunk dialogs on his daugther show the brand of Bhaskar. Such scenes came out excellent. Overall film feels dragged. This is felt both in the first half and the second half. Neelakantam searching for his daughter at different places feels boring after a while. Dialogs penned by Ravi are good. Music by Mani Sharma is interesting. He might have been in a conflicting cornor where the hero is energetic and good dancer while the situations required kind of soft. Lyrical value in the songs is good. Cinematography is okay. Overall, Parugu could have come out better with some editing in the first half and better screenplay. The film feels dragged with lot of searching for Neelakantam's daughter. The run of the film depends on how the family and lady audience receives it. And also there are several star studded films are in line for release.

Sawaal - Review

Director B. Jaya, after giving romantic and family entertainers, has tried her hand at this totally mass-oriented movie Sawaal. This is her fourth film in series. The earlier two (Chantigaadu and Premikulu) being romantic love stories, and the third one Gundammagaari Manavadu, a family entertainer. Major strengths of the movie is selection of the lead pair – upcoming hero Bharath and Suhani, who made her debut as heroine, graduating from a child artiste. Good action episodes, songs and music are its plus points. Tirupati (Bharath) is a riffraff, who sells the movie tickets in the black. Though an orphan, he has the backing of about 10,000 people from a city slum, where he lives. Both the police and politicians are afraid of him. In order to get safe drinking water to the slum, he takes on a minister (Dandapani) and invites his wrath. A beautiful girl Keertana (Suhani) starts teasing the hero. New circle inspector of the area Narasimham (Sayaji Shinde) prompts Tirupati to become a police informer for the good of his own people. With the help of Tirupati, the CI takes on the Minister-supported brothels and drug-peddling. He is promoted as ACP. The two sit for a booze, when the CI insults Tirupati as a low-class fit for nothing fellow and no girl would love him. The cop also throws a challenge at him: If you can, make my daughter fall in love with you. If I lose, I will give you Rs. 10 Lakh. If you lose, you shall be my servant for ever. Taking the challenge, the hero comes to know that the CI's daughter is none other than the girl who has teased him. Meanwhile, baddie Vinayak (Vijayak), minister's son wants to marry Keerthana. The minister too waits for the opportunity to kill Tirupati. How the hero deals with all these problems and wins the challenge forms the rest of the story. Bharath (who made his debut with the film Tenth Class) acted with full ease and impresses the audiences in all wings of acting – stunts, dances, dialogue delivery and emotions. Debut heroine Suhani is glamorous and did a fine job without any flaw. Director Jaya succeeded in giving almost equal importance to all the characters in the movie. Sayaji Shinde's role as cop is hilarious. Villainy by Dhandapani and Vijayak is adequate. The combination of Brahmanandam-Kovai Sarala is good. Ali's appearance as swamiji at the climax is entertaining. The role of MS Narayana as star hero, which is similar to that of his role in Dubai Seenu, is comical, but comes as a deviation. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna appears as an MLA, rendering some dialogues in his own style. Story, screenplay and direction is by Jaya. She completely focused on the commercial elements such as stunts, songs and mass dialogues. Going by the title Sawaal, the audience expects some big action. However, the point is not that much powerful as the challenge is a silly one. Screenplay is interesting in the first half, but gets a setback in the second half. However, the climax is given an exciting touch. Action scenes are well canned. Cinematography is good. All the songs canned in beautiful locations in Karnataka are equally good. Music by Jesse Gift is a big asset to the film. Comedy is not missed.

Jodha Akbar - Review

The 2 and half years waiting is over. Indis most adorable screen couple came up like King and Queen and they'll rule our hearts once again. The Oscar nominated film director Ashutosh Gowarikar once again taken Indian cinema a step ahead. Jodha Akbar is opulent, magnificent and beautiful film. Making a film on this scale with epic proportions is not so easy. Mr. Gowarikar conviction, courage paid off. His passion and patience is praise worthy. Set in the 16th century, Jodhaa Akbar is a love story. It's about the relationship that the young Akbar shared with Jodhaa.

PLOT:

This is the love story of a boy and girl amidst kings and battles, politics and religions. But the lovers happen to be prince and princess. We all studied about the 16th century Mughal Emperor, Akbar-the-Great, the founder of Din-i-Ilahi and famed for his Court of Navratnas, and his fiery Rajput princess wife, Jodhabai. With great power and balance of strength, Emperor Akbar soon extended his empire from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godavari River. To win the confidence of the vast hindu community, he accepts the proposal of a hindu king and marries his daughter Jodha. This alliance leads Akbar on the new adventure of his life, the adventure of true love. In his quest he has to win his peoples hearts as a king and his wife's heart as a lover. The marriage between Jodhaa and Akbar was union of not only of two souls but of two cultures.

HISTRIANICS SIDE:

Jodhaa Akbar belongs to Hrithik Roshan., It's Hrithik's one-man show. A mind-boggling performance. Hrithik Roshan as Emperor Akbar is picture-perfect. His chiseled body, expressive eyes, flawless body languge and speech makes difficult to imagine anyone else as Akbar. Hrithik has proved his acting prowess by taking on a wide range of roles. Once again, he rises to the challenge of bringing to life a 'young' Akbar in all his regal splendour. Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan as Queen Jodhaa, is wonderful. She looks pretty as a doll. The way she emotes with such precision, gets under the skin of her character is fabulous. Look her sleepless-red-eyes when Akbar hurt by arrow and bed ridden. She is flawless. The Chemistry between them was poignant. There is a great length of screen time for their romance to bloom. Both Hrithik and Aishwarya are perfect for their roles. The chemistry between them well depicted in the sword fight. Besides Hrithik and Ash, are Sonu Sood [excellent], Nikitin Dheer [fantastic], Ila Arun [electrifying; her finest work so far], Punam S. Sinha [graceful], Kulbhushan Kharbanda [perfect], Raza Murad [effective] and Rajesh Vivek [good]. Amitabh Bachchan's rich barritone voice adds lustre to the magnum opus.

TECHNICAL SIDE:

Composed by music maestro A.R.Rahman (after Guru) Jodhaa Akbar's music is magical. It is different from the tunes and beats of the contemporary style of music. The background score for war and action scenes was mesmerizing. Khawaja Mere Khawja is a fabulous qawaali based song sung by the maestro himself. Elaborate arrangements include the trumpets and the drums in "Azeem O Shaan Shehenshah". It is a wonderful composition. Lyrics by Javed Akhtar are up to the mark. The romantic piece "In lamhon ke daaman mein" keeps the standard you expect from a genius like Rahman. "Jashn e bahaare", sung by Javed Ali, is soft, serene and romantic piece displays an ideal fusion of Ali's vocals with string music. "Mann Mohana" is an average number. Rahman's background score breath life into the battle scenes. Cinematographer Kiran Deohans makes his presence felt in in the battle scenes and the visualization of the songs Khwaja mere khwaja and Azeem-o-shaan-shahenshah. The song Khwaja mere khwaja shot with the great deal of conviction and care. The camera movements planned to match with Rahmans voice mixing. His color palette is so vibrant. Ravi Dewan pulsating war sequences and sword fights action sequences are incredible. Ballu Saluja's editing is crisp and perfect. The production values touching sky limits to recreate the opulence with Nitin Desai's majestic palaces of the Rajputanas, Neeta Lulla's extravagant costumes or Tanishq's royal jewellery exclusive to the film. It is the choreography is Ok.

CREATIVE SIDE:

Ashuthosh Gowarikar out-smarted Bhansalis with his magnum opus Jodha Akbar. He is exceptionally talented and just keeps getting better with every movie. He didn't preach any history lessons and nor he distorting history in any manner. Ashutosh Gowariker knows that historicals have to be simplified while narrating on celluloid. Gowariker's handling of the subject deserves the highest praise, for it's not everyday that you come across a film like Jodhaa Akbar. He also took great care in dialogues. Both Urdu and Hindi are used beautifully, especially in the political sequences. At times the same dialogue was repeated once in each language. It sounded like an enchanting jugalbandi of the languages. Unlike Mughal-E-Azam and Razia Sultan, the usage of chaste Urdu is very easy and simplified. He does a superb job when it comes to bringing out the chemistry between Hrithik and Aishwarya. The screenplay by Haider Ali and Gowariker is tight. The drama keeps you hooked and the romantic track is wonderful. Saxena's dialogues are amazing. e.

NEGETIVE SIDE:

There isn't much to say the negative side of the film. Every aspect keeps you glued to the seat but the length makes you fidget especially in the 1st half. The interval comes after 2hrs and the total running time is nearly 3hours 40 mins. Though the dynastical politics of the kingdom were interesting, the kitchen politics within Akbar's household reminds you of Ektha kapoor Sas-Bahu "salt-pepper" kitchen politics serials. Mr.Gowarikar should've strike a balance between these two. Except the leads, most of the characters are underdeveloped. Akbar becomes the beloved king with just only one act is too filmy and unconvincing. The pre-climax is clichรฉd. Sonu sood's death and Jodha coming to battlefeild doesn't serve any purpose.

HIGHLIGHTS:

1. The sword fight between Jodha and Akabr.

2. The Panipat war sequence and the hand to hand climax combat.

3. Hrithik taming an out-of-control elephant. It's awesome.

4. The interval episode is well conceived.

5. When Ash tells Hrithik about how he knows how to rule but can never win the hearts of the people, both in reference to her and his territory.

6. Hrithik practising his sword fighting. Ash secretly admires his naked torso.

7. Rahman's music and Khwaja Mere song.

ANALYSIS:

It is a visual treat. You don't get to see films like Jodha Akbar often. It's a must see movie. It sure win the hearts of audience and hits the cash boxes. Watch it.

Visakha Express - Review

Mullapudi Vara comes up with a novel point for the thriller Visakha Express starring Rajeev Kanakala, Allari Naresh and Preeti Jingania. The film has some creative heads involved including SS Rajamouli and Chandrasekhar Yeleti. Chandrasekhar Yeleti provided the screenplay while Mullapudi Vara directed the film. Even with all these heads involved, the film fails to create the required impact. The point is novel, no lag in the film and scintillating performances by Rajeev Kanakala and Naresh; However, the narration leaves a feel of something-a-miss. Story in short: Raja (Rajeev Kanakala) is a doctor, who faces several problems due to the alocholic attitude of his father Kota Srinivasa Rao. Raja's father gets killed in suspicious circumstances and police suspect Raja. Raja is on run now. He meets Raja Ravi Varma (Allari Naresh). They already met in a train in the past and know each other. Raja is in shock when he comes to know that is is Raja Ravi Varma, who killed his father. Now Raja Ravi Varma makes an interesting proposition to Raja, if he wanted a confession with the police. What is the proposition and why did Ravi Varma kill Raja's father forms the story plot. Big plus for the film is the excellent performances by Rajeev Kanakala and Allari Naresh. In a sadistic role, Allari Naresh is amazing and one wonders if any one else could do the role as he did it. In fact, he hogs the entire limelight. Rajeev Kanakala is as usual, delivers a very good performance. That is all that can be talked about the performances in the film because the rest of the cast does not have much. Preeti Jingania is okay in her role. Sindhu Tulani appears in a short role and one wonders why? Ali, Kota, Giridhar and Vijaya Rangaraju are content in the roles. The story point is novel. The film has good performances, excellent background score by Vijay Koorakula, camera by Das are good. Dialogs by Harshavardhan are content and good at times. Stunts by Ram Laxman are good. With all the good values, the film could have been a well made out film. However, the film ends up as a good attempt because of the not-so-exciting screenplay. Narration could have been better. There is no lag felt in the film but at the same time there is no excitement either. Sequences get predictable and that kind of kills the interest. Another big drawback is lack of comedy in the film. Even though Ali is in the film, his character did not get the right elevation. Overall, the film can be seen for the performances of Rajeev Kanakala and Allari Naresh alone. The script work (co-authored by Vakkatam Vamsi) provides ample scope but the narration is predictable. The film opened up good. And the run of the film depends on how the next releases fare.

Idhi Sangati - Review

Chandra Siddarth is known for his societal themes through the films Aa Naluguru and Madhumasam. This time, he meditated on the general human qualities of greed and self-defense. He chose a subject that is universal and he went outspoken in treating each and every character with ruthless perfection when it comes to human nature. However, the same thing resulted in utter lack of entertainment. As such, the film lags behind in what you call commercial elements. Satya Murthy (Abbas) is crime reporter with a newspaper and tastes the extra income by way of using his influence with the top brass of government officials when the low-rung staff approaches for favors to be done. Neeladri (Sunil) is the photographer. One day, they go to cover the gory accident involving Mumbai Express, in which 48 passengers are killed. Both cover the news, take the photographs of the accident spot. Here, they get tempted at the glittering riches on the bleeding corpses. They literally rob the dead bodies of whatever gold they have, along with other thieves. Satya Murthy happens to lift a suitcase which consists of diamonds worth Rs. 500 Crore. However, the reporter doesn't know what is inside the box. His wife Swarajyam (Tabu) is curious about its contents. She opens the same in the absence of her hubby. She hides the mega treasure from the eyes of not only the hubby but the neighborhood. However, true to the weakness of the women for riches, she goes out with the fancy idea of buying a Rs. 1 crore car and a posh flat. This puts her in soup, which later results in the kidnapping of her husband. How she rescues her hubby and what happened to that Rs. 500 Cr. Diamonds? These things are dealt with in the later part of the story. Tabu gives a sensuous and beautiful look all through the film. As a housewife hailing from the middle section of the society, she is impressive in her characterization. She could come out with excellent oomph in a couple of songs, which seem to have been exclusively designed for her. This shows that Chandra Siddarth has relied much on Tabu's glamour. Abbas did a neat job as crime reporter. However, their chemistry didn't suit well in this film as was the case with their earlier flick Prema Desam. Sunil's comedy is fine, though with small footage. Kota Srinivasa Rao played the role of the Prime Minister, while MS Narayana did his personal manager. Hema played the wife to Sunil. Surya did the circle-inspector, investigating the missing of diamonds. Chalapati Rao did the role of DIG, who directly reports to the Prime Minister about the progress in diamonds-missing case. Brahmaji played the role of a greedy lawyer. A major highlight of the film is the cameo by Raja as Kalavar King, leader of thieves. He also shakes legs for a song with a glamorous dancer. The story is narrated in old-fashioned style. But compare to his previous flicks here, the output is satisfactory. ...There is no justification in the censor certification of A to the film, as there is no vulgarity anywhere in the film, nor does any bloodshed or violence. Music and the background score are not good in the movie... camera work by J K is superb.... i was stunned - the movie was shot entirely in digital format... in no way, it is easier to detect non-use of the regular negitive. Does it mean tollywood going digital?.. wow... Idhi Sangathi is a clear satire on the dependable vicious circle involving politicians, police and criminals. Chandra Siddarth made an attempt to project his mind that human greed is universal and it has no barriers like great or small. A major thing to note in the film is that all the characters in the film are not positive. Every character is greedy for the riches, from politicians to police to criminals to middleclass people. Nobody understands why the director chose the post of a PM as the greedy person, from whom the original problem has started. The police investigation into the missing diamonds issue is also frivolous. The chances of the film showing up the stamina at the box office are doubtful. However, we can't rule out its influence on the audiences on the lines of chandra siddardha's previous films, like aa naluguru and madhumaasam, wchich emerged as critically acclaimed performers, 2 weeks after release.

Sundarakanda - Review

Sundarakanda, prominently thought of as much-awaited film from the cannon of Bapu and Mullapudi Venkataramana, has finally arrived, but to poor openings and disappointing talk. Bapu has brought to play the outdated strategy of entertainment, which were gone into the oblivion right two decades ago. At this age of modernity, influenced by western thinking even in remote areas, Bapu's entertainer Sundarakanda is a dampening effort. Ramgopal Varma (Sunil Sharma) is the heir to the legacy of the erstwhile Bobbili princely region. One day, he goes to picnic and falls to the charms of a ravishing lady (Prema). As a result of their union, the lady becomes pregnant and they get married with the sanction of the tribal population. Raja of Bobbili Sansthan is in fury knowing that his son has married an ordinary woman. In the absence of Ramgopal Varma, his wife is sent out in all humiliation. The pregnant lady reaches Hyderabad and gives birth to a baby girl Pinky (Charmi). After sixteen years, she narrates her plight to Pinky, who in turn takes up the responsibility of uniting her parents. Landing at the premises of her dad's palace, she starts executing her mission. Fortunately, she finds that her dad remained a bachelor all through. She successfully tramples the vile efforts of her dad's uncle (Vizag Prasad). How Pinky gets through the deal for unity forms the climax. Sunil Sharma, a well-known TV artiste, played the role of an agonized husband and father. Dubbing for his voice is done by SP Balu, but rendering a poor and drab effect. Charmi is simply superb as Bapu bomma, but the impact is lost due to the too traditional attire put on her when the audiences would sure expect modernity and glamour, which Bapu missed in this movie. Kota Srinvasa Rao did the role of a greedy politician. Prema, as mother of Charmi, is not suitable to the role. Story has near similarity with Bapu's 1970s blockbuster Mutyala Muggu. While that film showed a child as the protagonist, who makes heartening efforts to unite her parents, Charmi got into the shoes of the kid, but as a beautiful teenaged girl. The fine odor of the yesteryears is clearly missing. Music by Vidya Sagar is not up to the mark, but the background score (not by Vidya Sagar) is good in parts. Bapu's fans might like this film. Yet, the initial talk from the women crowd too is not in favor of the film.

Ontari - Review

Ontari directed by BV Ramana has Gopichand and Bhavana in the lead. Good screen presence by Gopichand and Bhavana are among a few positive things to talk about in the film while mediocre narration disappoints. The film is about how a guy takes revenge on the goons for his love. Story in short: Vamsi (Gopichand) and Bujji (Bhavana) fall in love with each other. They even get engaged. Enter the bad guy Pandu (Ajay) who also likes Bujji. One day Bujji is kidnapped by Pandu. The tale that follows is surely not routine. In a way, for Vamsi, Bujji is there and not there too. Watch it on the big screen to know what that really means. .. Gopichand is simply superb and is a perfect for this role. Special mention is required for heroine Bhavana who makes a good impression with Telugu audience. She has a grace - both in looks and in performance. She looked typical Andhrite and looked good in both traditional and modern dresses. She performed both comedy and emotions with equal ease. Ajay is good in his role as Pandu. Raghu Babu does a routine role. The same thing applies to Shiyaji Shinde, who plays a special officer to hunt down the killer but later realizes the true cause of the killer and supports him. Sunil, Ali, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao etc are content in the film. Barring a twist, the film has similarities to a few old films. Even though the plot and twist provide novelty, narration fails to satiate. Director should have taken more care with the screenplay; especially in the second half. The film has good formula. But the director failed in merging the formulae and the script properly. Instead, the film turns into a fight and song sequence. Songs hampered the pace in the film. Even though there is some comedy in the first half, that was totally lacking in the second half. If proper care has been taken in the second half - both with entertainment elements and screenplay, the verdict might have been different. Technically, one of the biggest assets for the film is music by Mani sharma. Camera Man Sarvesh Murari was good with his camera. Editor Gautham Raju did a good job with editing. However, he could have done better in the second half. Plus points in the film are - Gopichand, Bhavana, music by Mani Sharma, entertainment in the first half and interval twist. Minus points are narration and lack of entertainment in the second half. OVerall, first half of the film has entertainment elements and there is good comedy. Second half becomes a bit heavy with sentiment and emotions. Director tried something different in the film with something that is not common in Telugu film formula. The run of the film really depends on how the audience will receive it.

"parugu"music review

Mani Sharma works for the first time with Bhaskar, Raju and Arjun in Parugu and his compositions primarily reek of melody here. Also, almost all the songs come across as situational, meaning, visuals could enhance the way the songs work on you. Unlike Jalsa’s music, that caught on instantly and didn’t need any backing from the movie, Parugu’s songs may take time to grow on and if the movie clicks, then there is no stopping this album.

1. Parugulu: This racy song with techno beats almost sounds as if the hero is stalking the heroine warning her that her running away from him, after enticing him, is of no use – vostunnaa nEnE vostunnaa, voddannaa vodilEstaanaa. Sirivennela’s words are mouthed in a zesty manner by Ranjith.
2. Nammavemo :A few of the opening beats (not strings) of this melodious number sound very similar to those in Chiguraakuchaatu chilaka [Gudumba Shankar]. The music that comes during ‘nijamga kallatho’ part of it was inspired by ‘Hey Shona’ from Tara Rum Pum film. Saketh, who sounds so much like SP Charan, has a pleasant voice and sings Anantha Sriram’s poetic words with the flair of a veteran. Impressive!
3. Yelagelaga:Despite a folkish tune, Mani maintains a certain spunky flair in the orchestration, in an attempt to not make this number sound like just another rustic song. While Kailash Kher sounds nasal at places, its Saindhavi’s chirpy rendition that clicks the most. Anantha Sriram’s lyrics are simple and sensible, given the feeling one gets about the lack of a situational demand for this song.

4. Chal Chal Chalo: Chandrabose’s youthful lyrics for this hero introduction number set the mood of the film quite well talking about the restless nature of the hero- gira gira tirigE nyzam, nilabaDanika yE nimiSham, telling us that the hero is always on the run seeking fun and adventure like a typical youth. Ranjith’s spirited rendition suits the mood of the song.
5. Hrudayam: A soulful number this one. It’s good to see Mani use Hemachandra for a variety of songs in his albums – bouncy Niluvave [Lakshyam], melodious Ararey [Ontari], foot-tapping Vayasunamy [Kantri] and a pathos song here. Needless to say, Hemachandra has been giving his best. Given the number of such songs Sirivennela has penned in the past, he never runs out of words that leave an impression on you. halaahalam naaku sontam, nuvvu teesuko amrutam anakunta aa premei prema kaagaladaa. Johaaru Sirivennela garu! Mani’s orchestration, being in tandem with the melancholic mood, makes this number instantly likeable.
6. Manakanna Podiche: A right mix of melody, teen maar beats and a tapping tempo thrown in. Rahul Nambiar’s lively vocals, with right amount of gamakaalu, add a lot of verve to this number. Anantha Sriram’s lyrics remind you of Sirivennela’s writing style. This promising lyricist gets to pen three songs with varying moods in this album and his work gets high marks everywhere. Good going sir.

The film Gamyam comes as a ray of hope that Tollywood Industry is going in the positive way and will live to an extent in the year 2008. This year till date, we have been witnessing a series off flops from big stars like Balakrishna to Nagarjuna to small stars like Gopichand and Raja. Except for Krishna which was an average flick, all the other films were huge flops at the box office.
Gamyam the movie starts wit the story of a rich Guy Abhiram (Sarvanand). He is the younger sibling in the house and has grown up as a spoilt brat in the house. He is a son of a rich industrialist who has innumerable Riches and properties. As is the case with many rich people, Abhiram has also a bug in his mind that poor and middle classed people are ill mannered and are bad natured. So Abhiram never mingles with people who are not up to his mark in the riches. At this time, he comes across a beautiful girl named Janaki (Kamalinee) . Janaki is an orphan who comes up in life the hard way. She is a doctor by profession and she serves the poor and the less privileged. The two become close and mingle closely. However, Abhiram doesn’t like Janaki’s modest background and her social services. In the same way Janaki also hates Abhiram’s attitude of hating the poor and loving the richer class.
Janaki who becomes vexed with his attitude leaves him and goes away. Abhiram is now desperately in look out for Janaki. Then enter the character named Seenu (Allari Naresh) who is a petty thief. Abhiram due to some incidents comes in contact with Seenu and with his help tries to trace out Janaki. The two search for Janaki on Seenu’s bike.Abhiram finally manages to trace Janaki at a small village where she is serving the poor.
It is here that Abhiram learns the true meaning of life, while his long journey with Seenu makes him understand the lessons of human nature and also the realities inside the lives of the rich and the poor. Finally, Abhiram changes in the climax and all ends in a happy note.
Performance
Sarvanand gives a good account of himself as a rich spoilt brat. It can be concluded that this guy has turned into a serious hero and is improving day by day. This film will definitely give a boost to his career and will also offer good film roles as such, in his coming future.Allari Naresh finally comes up with an outstanding performance. It can be said that, he is the main meaning of the movie. His character of Seenu is well carved and has full scope to entertain the audience and also to give a message. His comic timing is excellent.Kamalinee Mukherji’s role is not very lengthy. She is in the first half for about 158 minutes and then in the second half for 20 minutes. But her role is a need to the movie and also plays a pivotal role in making the audience glued to their seats. She exposes averagely. But truly speaking, she has finally changed a lot. Her beauty, her curves from top to bottom are ravishing and will make the male fans of her drooling over her in their sleep. She is now a full fledged heroine with good dancing skills and expressions. On the whole the film is quite interesting and will entertain the audience very well. Though it seems to be a message oriented in the end, it has been said in a novel and agreeable way. Full credit goes to the director who made this film with small, but good actors. The film is definitely worth watching and will give your every rupee back with its full entertainment. It is a family entertainment movie.

Charmy, who is now the present flavor of Tollywood with her hot hips has fetched a meaty role in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s flick titled as SADHU. Jalsa Review

Banner: Geeta ArtsCast: Pawan Kalyan, Prakash Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Ileana, Parvathi Melton, Kamalinee Mukherji, Brahmanandham, Ali, Sunil, and Shayaji shinde.Direction: Trivikram SrinivasMusic: Devi Sri PrasadProducer: Allu Arvind
Story:
Power Star Pawan Kalyan has come up with a hit this time. The lean patch in his career seems to be over now. This time, Pawan has come up with a total family entertainer which has an amalgamation of Comedy, fights, sentiment, emotions and overall total entertainment and is worth for each penny. Though the second half looks shaped out, the climax still is unpredictable and super entertaining.
The movie starts with the generic voice of Prince Mahesh Babu, who introduces himself as a friend to Pawan Kalyan who plays the character of Sanjay in this movie. Sanjay (Pawan Kalyan) is introduced in the first frame as a boozer who is obsessed with the education. The get –up given to him belongs to this generation, but will make the audience memorize as yesteryears Devdas.
In the illustration for this, Kamalinee Mukherji is introduced as a lover of Pawan Kalyan who has a father which is played by Prakash Raj. Though the narration is brief, but generates a lot of interest and makes us feel as if we are involved in the characters. After this frame in a comic fashion, though it hurts Sanjay (Pawan Kalyan), is zoomed to another scene where the hero Sanjay attends the marriage of Kamalinee Mukherji with another person.
Then the next frame is shown and is marked as after 52 weeks. In this frame Ileana and Parvathi Melton enter the life of Sanjay (Pawan) and the incident is captured with a fighting sequence which highlights the skills of Pawan and makes him a true hero.
Then after this scene, little bit of Comedy is sprinkled for next few minutes and Ileana wins the heart of Sanjay (Pawan) with the help of the noted comedian Sunil. He erupts into the film and generates some comedy and due to his comic touch as well as some heart touching incidents, Ileana and Pawan fall in love.
Meanwhile, the next frame introduces the villain of the film which is played by Mukesh Rishi and is coupled by the comedian cum villain Tanikella Bharani. Mukesh is introduced as a dreaded factionist who never cares any law and any person and almost rules the entire region and clutches it in his fists. Though Mukesh runs his entire evil works from the jail, it looks realistic and also is possible in today’s world. The land takeover scene is well captured in the camera lens.
While Mukesh works on the sidelines, then again the songs, love making scenes and well portrayed scenic location entertain the audience and make them glued to the seats. However on the side track the war against Mukesh and Sanjay (Pawan) is well carved and makes the audience tense that some thing big may strike the hero in the form of the dreaded villain Mukesh Rishi as the hero is totally ignorant about what is happening and about the moves of the villain.
Mukesh Rishi in an incident traces Sanjay (Pawan) and tries to get hold of him, but his actions go in vein as he decides to kill Pawan after making him suffer a hell on earth. Meanwhile, Sanjay is unaware about all this which is cooking behind him and merrier his way.
From then the chase of the hero and the villain begins, but it can be reviewed as only the villain’s chase as the hero is ignorant about the villain and his moves. In a scene Pawan saves Ali, and reveals emotionally that his child hood was a hell and this is due to poverty. But his dialogues and his body language does not suit this variety of heavy loaded senti’s. It makes the audience remember, about his initial stages of his career, like his films “Akkada Ammayi -Ikkada Abbai” which had heavy loaded dialogues in the middle and in the climax.
Then the Interval Break is given Guys, cheer up! Gets some popcorn and cool drinks
The story after the interval start with Pawan starting his childhood saga, as he narrates to his friend how miserable his childhood life was and how he succeeded from his young life to his present age. This also brings on the screen, about his Naxalite life and the reason for joining their organization of Naxalism. Though the reason is well strong in its place, but the story starts to deviate a little bit from its usual entertaining part. Sanjay (Pawan) is also promoted as a commander in chief in the naxals group and to bring some cheer in the audience faces, Mahesh Voice is edited into the narration and this truly brings some relief in the minds of the audience.
Suddenly some group of Naxal’s mob the hero and the reason for it is suspense. Adding to this Prakash Raj also enters the story again as a police officer and what happens in the climax is a suspense which has to be seen on the big silver screen.
Performances
Power Star has given his 100 5 to this film and the fruitful results for his hard work are already ringing at the box office. As usual his dressing style and his costly Pepe jeans wardrobe will be seen on the screen. His shirts and his over-shirts are really a must watch on the silver screen. His powerful dialogue delivery with a punch in it makes us believe that he is truly a big hero for sure.
Coming to the glam dolls, the skin show is mostly done by Wally cleavage Ileana and the ravishing Parvathi Melton. All the costumes worn by them are revealing and super. Especially the black sari worn by Parvathi Melton makes the temperatures in the pants of every male audience soaring as her naval part is so sexy .And last but, not the least Kamalinee Mukherji is also superb in her brief role. Her costumes are a must watch for every young girl and if interested can also be purchased to pep up their Boyfriends and also the society with the latest trend.
Coming to the songs of Devi, they are average and only one song is worth watching which the title song is. May be Manisharma would have done more justice for this movies script.
Trivikram Srinivas has done a good job. The script part is also well woven and is apt for Pawan. The choreography is done very well.
Overall this film is like a breezer in this summer and Pawan with his wholesome family entertainer has won all his fans hearts again.
This film will surely run towards 100 days and even it can cross the 150 days mark with the help of Pawan’s Fans.

Bhale Dongalu Review

Cast: Tarun, Ileana, Jagapathi Babu,Pradeep Rawat, Brahmanandham and others
Director: Vijay Bhasker
Music: Radhakrishnan
Producer: Belamkonda Suresh
Initially the combination of Ileana and Tarun which was for the first time ignited some interest in the movie and the direction of Vijay Bhasker was an added delight to this movie. Tarun and Vijaya Bhasker previously were coupled to give a hit like “Nuvve Kavali”. But this time the entire combination of the trio could not live up to the expectation. Only it can be termed as an average movie with all the masala stuff included in it.
Story
The story is about two youngsters with the character names of Ram or Romeo and Jyothi or Juliet. These two characters are played by Tarun and Ileana. These two youngsters run away from their respective homes located near Vishakapatnam. Tarun runs away from his dwelling as he is forced to work by his father Chandramohan in a paper mill. Ileana on the other hand unable to bear the emotional blackmail of her grandmother Annapurna to marry decides to leave her home. She has a dream to become a top model in the advertising field.Fortunately the hero and the heroine board the same train and land up in the railway station of Vishakapatnam. As expected they two meet each other and since they are penniless, but filled with the energy to fulfill their dreams; start to cheat some innocent people. And to their luck they succeed in piling up a good amount. Soon they get the thought to continue this job and depart to Hyderabad together. When Tarun and Ileana land in Hyderabad, they fool Dharmavarapu subramanyam who is an owner of a famous electronic showroom and succeed in fetching some goods worth 10 lakhs and make a run with them.Tarun to full fill Ileana’s dreams compels her to make herself enroll in a Mumbai advertising agency. But the heroine has another plan and wants to stay with Tarun.Meanwhile, they see an AD in a newspaper that a poor girl needs some medical held and needs money for the treatment. This girl happens to be the same one whom the two met in the journey to Hyderabad. So, Ileana and Tarun decide to help the child and offer 3 lakhs for her treatment initially. But still a deficit of 6 lakhs haunts them. Then the entry of the villain in the disguise of Pradeep Rawat takes place. He is the actual owner of the electronic showroom which was robbed by Tarun and Ileana. He is after the couple and the couple runs away from him. Then comes the entry of DCP Yugandhar which is the character played by Jagapathi Babu. And he is the man who is appointed to hunt for the pair of Romeo and Juliet. The rest of the story is about the chase and blah bah and blah. All ends happily at the end.
Performances
Tarun as usual gave his 100% for this movie. He played the character of Ram –Romeo perfectly.Ileana does her job very perfectly. But still she has to improve in the department of dialogue delivery coupled with expressions. Her costumes and skin show are average.Jagapathi babu plays the character of the police office very well. His body seems to be well toned to match the body of a police officer.Pradeep rawat’s character as a villain is well carved. But still Pradeep must improve his dialogue delivery. Especially in some angry scenes.Charmy, the item girl of this film is perfect for the small role. Her boobs seem to be juicy and her thighs are relishing in the revealing costumes. On the whole with a heavy bosom and perfect shaped hips & thighs make her too hot.
The comedy track is well managed by Brahmanandham, Ms Narayana, and sunil and Venu Madhav. The first half of the movie seems to be well portrayed. But the second half looks little but dragging. On the whole the movie is worth watching once. From the respite of summer and due to the air conditioning of theaters, this film is sure to draw the mass crowds more.Coming to its fate, if this movie can make it to 50 days it is applaud able
